Participants will learn new ways of designing and implementing a measurement and evaluation system that produces meaningful, timely, and actionable information for multiple stakeholders. Content includes definitions of terms and concepts, theory of change and logic models, overview of performance measurement and evaluation approaches, developing strategic evaluative questions, and an introduction to various data collection methods and reporting strategies.

Nonprofit Advocacy -- Using Your Public Voice
Wednesday April 28, 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Price: $40 SEA Members; $45 for all others
(please note: This workshop has a minimum requirement of 15 participants)
Nonprofits do have a critical voice in the public policy realm. Unfortunately,
there remain many myths and misconceptions about the lobbying and advocacy
rules for nonprofits. In the absence of understanding these rules,
many nonprofits unnecessarily self-censor their voice, to the detriment of
the public policy process. This workshop will offer a clear outlook
of the various “rules of the road” for nonprofit lobbying, practical tips,
as well as the opportunity to engage in experiential practice of these
concepts.
